Sustainability

Small steps. Honest math.

Filiz means sprout. We chose the name because it asks one quiet question — what would baby clothing look like if it were designed to come back?

Materials

Soft, slow, and certified.

Every Filiz piece is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, knit and finished by small mills in the region. We avoid synthetic blends — they shed microplastics in every wash.

The clothes are washed with hypoallergenic detergent, dried at low temperature, and folded by hand. The kind of care you'd give your own laundry.

  • GOTS & OEKO-TEX certified
  • Low-impact, water-based dyes
  • No polyester, no acrylic, no nylon

Packaging

The box that came back.

Our box is the same box. Send it back with the outgrown clothes inside — same shape, same size, same prepaid label. It travels back to us, gets a clean, and goes out again.

Inside: paper tissue, a paper note, and a single cotton ribbon. Nothing plastic. Nothing wasted.

The loop

Where outgrown clothes go.

Returned pieces are cleaned, inspected, and sorted into three streams:

  1. Re-circulated — most pieces go back into rotation for the next family.
  2. Donated — items past their best are passed to local newborn programs in Tirana, Pristina and Skopje.
  3. Down-cycled — anything beyond use becomes insulation or cleaning cloth, never landfill.

Sustainability isn't a marketing line for us. It's the only reason Filiz exists.
